Our Wave-Piercers, or Power Catamarans will open up exciting new excursions to our neighboring Spanish Virgin Islands, Culebra, Culebrita, Vieques and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
 Island Flyer
65’ Power Catamaran
(Launched Fall 2002)
Both the Eco Isleño and the new Island Flyer were designed and built in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. The innovative catamaran structure provides the most comfortable, smoothest ride of any power boat ever! Each vessel features a unique hull design with elongated “proas” or wave piercers that do just that; they actually reach forward to oncoming waves and instead of impacting and bucking over them, the slender hulls pierce and penetrate the waves, which pass, unmolested, under the elevated superstructure, allowing for the smoothest ride possible.
This innovative design also means that our Power Cats are fast! A trip that usually requires one and a half hours by regular ferry boats, now takes just half an hour with us!

Our Location
East Island Excursions is based on the eastern coast of Puerto Rico. Our boats are docked at Marina Puerto Del Rey, the most complete and modern marina in the Caribbean boasting shops, boutiques, fine and casual dining. Easy to find, the marina is just 45 minutes from metropolitan San Juan. Transportation can be arranged. Take Route 3 from San Juan or Route 53 from Humacao, get off at “Puerto del Rey” exit, 1 mile south from the town of Fajardo.
